(NOTE: I've updated the chart in another design to take events of 18-19 December into account: [link])
The idea for this design actually woke me up. I flashed on the old "enemy identification charts" that were used in WW1 and WW2. Clearly the CIA, NSA and DHS will need something similar in 2012 with NDAA and all these wonderful new laws.
So this design starts with the ironic - that any normal person can be considered a terrorist. As you scan down it goes to the sardonic, then radical, then seditious, and finally ending with the absurd (with a shout out to the "Aquapation" on Lake Merritt). And even some of the absurd isn't that absurd - unfortunately.
Truth is, people like Paul Revere and Ben Franklin would be considered terrorists by the new standards. And the British considered the Colonial soldiers to be terrorists in 1776 because of their tactics - much as our current regime seems to view anyone with a dissenting view.
I tried to keep enough humor (Charlie Sheen ... winning!) in this to make it enjoyable and to balance the grim reality of what's happening.
you forgot a picture of Jesus and it saying "religious terrorist" because I'm sure Christians say that he was for caring for the less fortunate, charity, and other terrorist views according to the NDAA
I would have to question the percentage of American Christians who grasped the teachings of Jesus (and ditto for all major religions and their various scribblings). Reciting scripture is not the same as understanding it.
Now, Mother Teresa, she was a religious terrorist if there ever was one. Her and that damn Easter Bunny.
We may need to as the police keep doing things to add to the list. In the last 24 hours, umbrellas have been declared verboten in Oakland, and in NYC Christmas Trees are right out.
hello communist germany
There's a lot of truth on this poster, sadly.
Now, Mother Teresa, she was a religious terrorist if there ever was one. Her and that damn Easter Bunny.
This whole thing needs to spark a movement. We're all united. Now work together.
Faved!
