Description

This design comes from a movie poster for the film "Captain America" and took a ton of Photoshopping to get right. The face had to be re-arranged behind the mask so that the eyes would line up right. The mask itself is half a dozen layers to get the lighting and "dirty" effect right. The emblem on the shield uses another half dozen layers plus a few transforms to get the positioning looking natural. Then the tents and Matrix backdrop were added as the original just has a grey-clouds backdrop.

If one goes back to the original concept of "Captain America", it was first drawn in 1940 as an intentionally political cartoon to speak out against Nazi Germany. At that point, remember, the US wasn't involved in WW2 and wouldn't be for almost two years. So this cartoon was kind of a ballsy move for the day given the isolationist stance the US had. The storyline is of an underdog, too small and weak to fight in the military, who is then given super powers and able to take on evil head-on.

So, bottom line is even though its an "American" theme the motivation and story of the cartoon rings very true to Anon and Occupy.
